Sawera was implemented between September 2000-August 2005, in 2 districts to empower women in Agriculture through food security, Around 100 groups were formed in 24 villages to achieve the following objectives

	Establish Women as agriculturists.
	To deliberate upon the issue of gender sensitivity and look for probable solutions
	To initiate efforts towards empowerment of women.
	To make women responsive towards agricultural extension.
