SWA SHAKTI PROJECT
 
 Project was implemented in 18 districts during October 1998 – September 2005.  Objective of the programme was
 to strengthen economic upliftment  process of rural women and to prepare a conducive environment for bringing
 about an improvement in their quality of life.  Later, the project was financed by the State Government and executed  during  January 2006- March 2006 and then during April 2006 – Septermber 2006.
 
    Objective
     Strengthening process that will promote the social and economic development of women and thereby create an  environment   for social   change to improve their quality of life.  
    Vision
     Form strong self help grops (SHGs) of women living in poverty, inform, train and equip them so that they can access and  control over   resources  and improve thier own lives and that of their families and communities.
